How to Suspend and Unsuspend a cPanel Account in WHM Print

  • 0

Suspending a cPanel account temporarily disables service access without deleting the account. This is commonly used for overdue billing, abuse handling, compromised sites or administrative control.

Before suspending

  • Confirm you have selected the correct account.
  • Record the reason for suspension.
  • Check whether email and website downtime will affect the customer.
  • For security issues, preserve logs where possible.

How to suspend

  1. Log in to WHM.
  2. Open Manage Account Suspension.
  3. Select the account or domain.
  4. Enter a clear suspension reason.
  5. Apply the suspension.

How to unsuspend

  1. Return to Manage Account Suspension.
  2. Select the suspended account.
  3. Click Unsuspend.
  4. Check the website and email afterwards.

Security note

If an account was suspended for malware or spam, do not unsuspend it until the underlying issue has been fixed. Otherwise it may immediately continue causing abuse.
